It is the mission of AAPSF to provide a method in which Podiatric Surgical Facilities can be evaluated in order to determine that the facility is providing the highest level of outpatient surgical care for its patients.
It is the policy of AAPSF not to discriminate against any applicant for accreditation, or applicant for employment or any present employee because of age, color, sex, disability, national origin, race, religion, or veteran status.
Accreditation by AAPSF signifies that the surgical facility has completed and passed a multistep evaluation process designed to determine that health standards are being achieved and maintained, such as patient safety, infection control practices, medical records, credentialing, and other requirements identified in the AAPSF standards.
Currently, AAPSF provides accreditation surveys for podiatric surgical facilities located in Maryland and Georgia.
